Playlist Vol. 19 (Girlbands & Boybands Edition): March 31, 2013

This will be the first of quite a few playlists of girlband and boyband music. I've always liked girlband/boyband music, one way or another. But it wouldn't be until I started obsessing over the Big Reunion, which saw some of my favorite late 90s to early 2000s bands reuniting (B*Witched, Five, Honeyz, Atomic Kitten, and Blue), that my love for their poppy music would resurface. On this note, how about a BBMak reunion Mark, Christian, and Ste? It's about time!

It didn't help that some of the other bands during this era started regrouping and creating new music! It's so exciting and interesting to see how they've grown up and how their voices and music have evolved. It also didn't help that more and more new girl groups and boy groups are forming and gaining popularity these past few years (One Direction, The Wanted, Little Mix, The Saturdays, etc.). Quite curious to mix the past and the present. You will notice that most in this list are bands from the UK. Despite the K-Pop invasion, they don't quite make groups like they do in the UK. Hello, Spice Girls! Haha!

Anyway, here's my first jab at a girlband/boyband playlist.

1. "The Life that Could Have Been" by A1
2. "Without You" by Blue
3. "Nobody Compares" by One Direction
